I edited footage of 8 locations together and sent to Kenneth. I also have a part of a solo filmed via an iphone that I will need to send him. Kate has agreed to dance for the film section.
During our first showing, the idea of having a part-live part-screened performance came up. I will discuss this with Kenneth at our next meeting; I think it could be interesting. I can always put together a full film later but I’ll need to find out what the composer thinks.
Unfortunately, my old camera is no longer up to par and I had to purchase a new one. I won’t have it until October 5th, which means that I’ll have only a short time to learn how to use it and a short time to film at some of the locations (as I do not think it feasible to finish filming everything in one week) for our next showing mid-October. Hopefully, I will have a soundscape by that time, as well.
Next, I’ll need to show Kate the rest of the solo, discuss costume options (boots of some kind will be a must for on-location shooting), figure out the camera once it arrives, schedule some times to film (I think that the two locations on campus are a good place to start), meet with Kenneth, and check in about using the NACC stage.
